    Caution and opportunity

First thing is, last time we won two games (Morton h Dunfermline a) and there was a fortnight between league games we lost the next two so hopefully we are ready for Falkirk on Sunday the 19th and not have a repeat

Secondly - we are the only championship game next weekend, the other contenders like St Mirren, Livi don't play again in league until Nov 25th as they have Scottish Cup games the weekend of the 18th, Dunfermline do have a midweek fixture at home to Morton on 21st

IF we beat Falkirk we will be 3 pts clear with Brechin away Nov 25th when St Mirren play ICT away, not put off the question we can put a little gap between ourselves and them

Certainly an opportunity there, but have to turn up on the 19th and work as hard as wet did the other day

That will be the teams biggest test yet, a win to put pressure on the others would be a great psychological boost all round.

Worth keeping Laurie Ellis at the helm over this period. Focus on these next two league games without the distraction of a new manager coming in. Don't believe that any of the potential managerial candidates being discussed is so brilliant that we can't afford to wait.

Hopefully Brechin are not going to be our new Dumbarton this season,i know they have lost most of their games but there has only been a goal or two in it and they can be difficult to break down.I would imagine that game v the Bairns will be anything but easy as we all know how much Hartley FN hates us,FACT.

    Bump

On the back of the previous two league games we have this opportunity next week and hopefully can carry that form into it

    The table just now....

    St Mirren p12 pts 23
    United p12 pts 23
    Livingston p12 pts 22
    Dunfermline p12 pts 21
    Queens p12 pts 21
    Morton p12 pts 16
    Inverness p12 pts 13
    Dumbarton p12 pts 13
    Falkirk p12 pts pts 9

    Next set of games
    Sun 19/11
    United v Falkirk

    Tue 21/11
    Dunfermline v Morton
    Inverness v Brechin

    Sat 25/11
    Brechin v United
    Dunfermline v Dumbarton
    Falkirk v Morton
    Inverness v St Mirren
    Queens v Livingston

    Tues 28/11
    Dumbarton v Queens
    St Mirren v Livingston

I genuinely don't see anyone but us or St Mirren winning this league (outwith Inverness going on a very good run), win on Sunday and things can open a little up for us

Interesting stuff - had missed this thread. A good opp for us but Falkirk and Hartley will be up for it so need to come out traps quick and hard.

Watched them yesterday on Alba in late kick off (ICT 1-0 Falkirk )

Will be a tight game but we are more than good enough to put them to the sword if we play like we did last week, one of the managers will get their first win in charge...... Unless it's a draw 😛

I have a fear about posts such as your BUMP in that the opposite usually happens.

But to keep up the optimism, i am living in hope that we can go on a run from now and manufacture a gap that gives us an element of safety. I do fully expect that us, St Mirren and ICT will take points off each other which means we have to beat the rest and let fate take care of the other 2.
