Thought about turning the TV off when we went 0-3 down, but I felt I should stick it out no matter where the score was heading. After that, the penalty and the deserved sending off seemed to galvanise us. Terrific second half performance and, if only Porter had directed his header towards the goal, we might have snatched it. Very spirited comeback, but we were so slow to sort ourselves out and Blackburn were threading the ball through time and time again. If only we could get it together from the start. Tough replay on 12 December and a lot of work to do before we can hope for a nice 3rd round draw.

    No question.
    They have to remain favourites.
They rested 7 yesterday so the chances are at least 2 of those will come in at GR.
Likelihood is they will have to - unless they want to blood some untried youngsters!!
    Wouldn't that be nice!

Just nice to be in another draw - and hopefully we will get one that will inspire as much as this one didn't!!

Maybe they need the money. But they have one thing we do not, a winning team.

Can we please have our MOM once again the same referee.

According to the Sentinel today DA and his team are going to work endless hours to get things right. Very sensible comment after approximately 30 games, imcluding preseason ,league and cup . You really could not make that comment up LOL.

With the exception of the first 20 minutes of the Blackburn cup tie, I reckon the side came away with a creditable result, in holding a very good side to a draw away from home. Take nothing away from that comeback. Blackburn had only themselves to blame for the dismissal of their two players. They were in command and only it was their own fault that they gave it all away. The fight back against Rotherham should not be dismissed either. The Alex deserved to win that game and progress through to the 2nd round. Yes, our league position and many of our performances leave a lot to be desired, but we cannot take away the fact that Artell kept us in this league last season, when all looked lost come the end of January. Let us support the lads in this Cup (as we have not seen any progress in this competition since Dario was in charge) and hope that we can make it into round three. I cannot see anyone winning tomorrow night, as with temperatures tonight of -7C (or even as low as -11C), then a postponement looks odds on. Perhaps they will play the game on Wednesday night instead. Up the Alex.
