I really don't get it. Lack of a dominant figure when younger I feel (granpaw/paw/maw/uncle) to drill home 'this is your team until you're deed'. That is the only common denominator I find among them.

My wife's started doing that.
She's even mastered the moving backwards at the last minute right into your path maneuver.
I think it's something that happens to women of a certain age.
Mind you the youngster coming straight at you , head down, staring at their phone is no better.
