If there was a justification of making something into religion, I think music would be the logical choice.
It is a religion to me, and I can trace my enlightenment from a kid who knew nothing about music beyond Top Of The Pops to a real music junkie to a precise place and time. Dinner queue, Heanor Gate School, Easter term 1973. A schoolfriend pushed a newspaper into my mits and said, 'done with this, you have it'. It was a week old copy of the NME, and I was hooked.

Andy, I was born in 1973 but went to that very same school.

On the 27th May 1990, the year I left school I went to watch the Stone Roses at Spike Island. Not a great concert performance wise but a seminal moment in music.

Classic FM on the radio, and tonight it'll be Cripple Creek by Early Scrubbs (if you like bluegrass, check this guy out, great fun), some Irish folk music, and While my Guitar Gently Weeps by Clapton.

That’ll be Earl Scruggs then, Adi.
Genuine question, is the banjo easier than the guitar?
