Isbell is paying tribute, in his own way, to two members of this band, and here's another song I feel has a lot of depth

Not even his best but its in my head. I recall seeing EB+TD's a few times back in the day, not actually sure there were any common band members across any of those occasions or even if it was the 'official' band...
Welcome back a prodigal son, if youve read his posts youll know why this is appropriate

I wish I had a quid for every time I've heard those 3 in the run up to 8 AM. They are generally considered not to be the 3 greatest songs ever, or anywhere near, but to every Northern Soul fan they represent something that was brilliant and has never been equaalled, anywhere, ever.
Dance to these 3, grab your coat and bag, off to the baths just down the road, quick swim, shower, clean, dry clothes and then off to an all dayer somewhere which, for a while, was Cloud's once a month. Memory Lane always causes goose bumps.
Anyway. 3 to listen to today Mr Faber which I purchased yesterday evening.
Charades - Key to my happiness
Otis Smith - Let her go
The Metros - Since I found my baby
Spread the faith!
Update on my musical lad. For more than a decade, a band called 18 Miles has been "top dog" over here in the genre known in Holland as "Hard core metal". They have decided to call it a day and are doing one last gig and that will be in de Melkweg in Amsterdam.
They have invited what they consider to be the best 2 up and coming HCM bands in Holland to support them in their farewell gig. One is called Dock 83. The other.......... you guessed it my lad's band "Take No Prisoners".
18 Miles have stated that they have invited these 2 bands to "hand over the baton" as they expect them to be the cream of the crop for the next few years.
Totally off topic.... my other lad qualified as a commercial pilot 3 and a half years ago. He has had great difficulty finding a pilot's job as there has been a surfeit of pilots looking for work so they have been advertising for pilots with a minimum of between 500 and 1500 hours experience in a commercial jet......... Just qualified means you have 0 hours in a commercial jet..... Never say die, he kept on keeping on and started with ASL Airlines in Lieges, Belgium last week.
Suffice it to say that I have 2 grand lads and I am very proud of both of them.

With the passing of Aretha, it had me thinking of this great song by Peggy Lee.
Another great voice like Aretha's.
Kungfu Fighting by Carl Douglas
