One of the great songs...’Mr. Bojangles’...and nothing wrong with the Sammy Davis Jnr version imo Rom, but I have to declare a preference for the versions by The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band or, better still, Nina Simone.

As i ever, I prefer the original JJ Walker version - better even than Dylan's cover. And as for Clodagh Rodgers' version - less said the better

Two lesser known songs I enjoyed ‘live’ on Saturday afternoon were, ‘We’ve got Gary Rowett’ and ‘Is this a Library?’

    Today is 80s Day.

No 1 - Girls Just Want to Have Fun - Cyndi Lauper (Used to be called the less glamorous Madonna, but I just love this song with a funny video to boot, especially her dad!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PIb6AZdTr-A

No 2 - Everybody Wants to Rule the World - Tears for Fears. (Perhaps a song Kim Jong Un should tweet to Trump)

No 3 - Come on Aileen - Dexy's Midnight Runners (What a neat name!)

Coincidentally so am I but I think your dancehall would have a few more folk in than mine, I'm on the edge of the mainstream with these contenders

Love And Money - Jocelyn Square. Someone on youtube said 'Jocelyn Square....represents the pinnacle of my music experience of more than 40 years listening (loving) music. Top Quality in every aspect, composition, arrangements, playing performance, rhythm, great recording and mixdown, the voice of James Grant so clear, so tuned, so perfect... the most inspired guitar solos are here too. Every sound selected is pure genius'

The Fixx - Stand Or Fall. Beautiful production that comes to life on a biiiig system

Living In A Box - Room In Your Heart. If you want a power ballad, cop for this

    Listened to a lot.

Top song has to be 1 I used to listen to every day for over 6 months, it was the first track on the cassette:

    1) I don't like to sleep alone - Paul Anka

    2) Temple of the King - Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow - another song on the cassette, my song of the year in 1993

    3) Diana - Paul Anka

    4) Another Brick in the wall - Pink Floyd

    5) Oh Carol - Neil Sedaka

    6) Lady in Black - Uriah Heep
