Both West Ham and Moyes would be better off had he not accepted that job. I don't see him inspiring the troops, so to speak. He's had three straight failed managerial tenures. He would have been better off taking a job like Boro or Norwich, where he could build his reputation back up by challenging for promotion. West Ham isn't going to suddenly become some great team. He will lose more than he wins there this season. The media and fan pressure is going to be huge right from the start.
If he does poorly here, not sure he'll be able to get a "big" job again.

I think the appointment is a poor one after his last few jobs, but he and the West Ham players have a lot to prove.
