Yeah we know that our fringe players who should have been giving 110% to impress the new manager were rubbish. But who cares it's just a mickey mouse cup. Worrying...

Seriously stoke is right 1st 11 we get beat, even in this joke of a cup, fair enough we have issues. momentum? reserve football shouldnt affect our first team but our reserves are crap so we need to get strength in depth.

My dear Garden Implement Storage Receptacle etc., I hope that next Sunday proves that you are right about Stokes being right.

The game last week was dissappointing because the players didn't seem to want to try and grab the opportunity...this could have been down to fielding a team which had never really played together before. Hopefully Shabby can use this as a stick to beat the normal first team, let them know that a drop in effort won't be tolerated. We should be coming flying out the traps this weekend. I totally accept that this was a diddy cup, and the manner that we went out could be used as a motivational tool for the first team. If we get a reaction this weekend.....going out the cup will have been a good thing! My biggest gripe from last season was a lack of desire and players hiding.....I'm expecting a more confident united performance with bags of effort...anything less would signal that we are a club with deeper rooted problems if we don't get a reaction.

I think you are confusing two things here. The 'who cares' was in relation to the ignorant press misleading readers. If you read back the thread you's see I already made mention of my disappointment that our fringe players were poor.

There are already radio pundits questioning Shabba's appointment because of Saturday's result, they are just pyssed off that their mates (Yogi,McIntyre and wee Doddsie) never got the job.For once i'm backing Thompson.
