You're probably missing the point Mrs O, as he seems to think he never does...and already has all the answers anyway 😀

I've maintained that I would love to see a link with FC Halifax Town, send our young British and Irish starlets there to get first team games, and then when the shay men are promoted to league 2, our kids will then get experience in a competitive league, for me it's a no brainer, but I'd have to contact Andrea with the idea first.

I think the rule is you can send a maximum of 5 players to one club, so for example we could send huffer nicell pearce Shackleton and wilks (if he wasn't out on loan already), and FCHT could have all 5 in their 18 if they wanted to, it might max out their loan quota but hey, they'd get some quality lol

Well - I respect my elders and I think WTF11 has the edge age wise on me ........ but not sure how he researches for his valued Forum opinions but I've recently picked up these two footie mags dated 1957/59 at a Brocante sale which incredibly are full of veiws, opinions etc that are no different from today, even John Charles is stating a wish to come home whilst still under contract to Juve - so player power even then under a maximum wage of £20 even tho' the bonus upped his basic, all sounds familiar.
Bloke that sold 'em,70 year old Nantes fan full of how his club should be run too so things don't change football opinion wise on or off the field but he knew of Charles and Leeds bless him and is a euro better off.

Not sure what "research" I would have to do having seen the youtube clip you were kind enough to provide regarding the Coyle red card? It wasn't a red, that's my opinion, "valued" or not.

As to the old magazines and their content, plus ca change hmm? Was it ever so, only nowadays we have had the pendulum swing to the point where there is as much insanity as there ever was, just different flavours nowadays, mostly driven by money, greed, naivety and oh yes, more greed.
