    Ticket sales

Does anyone know how the tickets are going for the final and how many we've sold so far

Flow tweeted the other day that over half the allocation has gone already.

Celtic are reporting that they have sold all of their 31,000 allocation.

No surprise there. Hopefully we sell out our allocation and that on the day our support backs the team as vocally and vociferously as possible and doesn't sit and admire Celtic's support as they did in our last final in 2011. I suspect the number of Cup Final daytrippers will only hamper the atmosphere in our end sadly.

I know that some people will be like that but please remember the support who live far away and for them (me) this and possibly one other game will be all they (l) can make doesn’t mean that they support Motherwell any less than season ticket holders and any way I think that most people out side of Celtic supporters will want Motherwell to win and will show their support on the day

I wasn't referring to exiles or even the lapsed fans who will turn out for this game, you expect that for a Cup Final. The 'Daytrippers' I refer to are those folk who normally wouldn't be seen dead inside a football ground and in many cases have zero interest in football or the club that are just out for the day to see a cup final. I'm sure many can relate to this and know or have known folk who's going to the final along with their sisters, pals and mother-in-law's pal that works in Gregg's etc. Nothing wrong with them bumping our numbers up but in 2011 our end was like a morgue throughout, even before the game and half the folk around us appeared to have any interest or in some cases knowledge of what was actually going on on the park. The majority of our support that day sat with their lips glued shut and their backsides glued to their seats and I really hope that isn't the case a week on Sunday.

That annoyed me too tbh back then, but I'm of the opinion there's a bit more of a buzz about the whole club, and support, these days in comparison to 6 years back. So, I'd hope we'll make a noise on the day and, like the Manager, won't go in to this final (as in previous times), with any sense of inferiority. If we've to have a decent chance we need to let the boys on the park hear and see us.
