Very astute of Warney to spot that we need to tighten up at the back. Impressive.

Unless we tighten up at the back. So, basically, yes...

Surely we must have one or two already lined up for january..if not we're gonna be out of it all..what a shame it would be after such a good start...thing is though, we need at least 4 new players especially if moore goes back..

....but he's happy with his staff and he certainly doesn't want a defensive coach.
    Oh dear.

Did we have a defensive coach when Towner ect... was here. You've got to be good enough defenders especially to start with. Can't do anything while January then a Keeper, Right & Centre backs required. Rodak & Emmanuel can go back to there parent clubs. Try to offload Price. Forde, Newell & Yates can go +Ball. Left winger required & see what happens with Moore: to how many new strikers we need in. Let's unclog the squad of surplus players & bring the likes of Hinds, Wiles & Bailey-King through.

I didn't realise Towner was a defender. Obviously that's where I've been going wrong.
One of the main reasons we stayed up when Warnock arrived was because of the way Kevin Blackwell coached and organised the defence. Prior to that they were pretty woeful.
If we went by your logic we wouldn't need coaches at all. That would work wouldn't it? 😕
By the way, you're suggesting we should get rid of a third of the squad in January!
Presumably your hero TS has told you he's going to seriously loosen the purse strings. Somehow I doubt it.

When Towner was here we had 2 decent keepers, Forest & Brecks with Stancliff & Mullen at C/B. Under Warnock Broadfoot was immense, Wood was better then, Camp was bothered about playing for us then. We haven't got nothing like that now in defence. We haven't got the funds to have coaches for every department of the side. So need a coach who can multitask.
