Think if we lose the next couple and put in really poor performances, I would say he has to go. There are so many games over Xmas, we cant afford to keep losing.

If we lose the next couple but put in good performances, i.e. competitive, concede an unlucky or amazing goals or get some poor ref decisions, I would wait until after Xmas and see how the squad is doing then.

I know this next statement is negative, but we are not gracefully and slowly slipping down the league, we are plummeting down without a parachute as back up, something has to give and soon.

Perhaps, but if such a person isnt in place beforehand, there will be exactly the same prospect of "enhancements" to the squad being introduced without the coach/manager being involved with exactly the same consequences, ornpwrhaps nothing being done but replacing the coach/manager, which wont be enough (by then).

In the 7 games under GG that season (the last one v Spurs)

Ian Bowyer played played all 7, as did Ian Harte (aged 21), as did Harry Kewell 1 from bench.

Stephen McPhail (aged 19) also given a debut plus 1 from bench

We had Martyn as goalkeeper playing well and even under DOL only dropped 6 times mainly due to injury

........... are you available on the last Thursday of each month about 8pm for our Northern Exiles sports quiz team as sadly we need all Leeds United knowledge available ? (Our team is third bottom at the mo).
The Winchester in Tours is the venue and I'll get you home safely if you don't mind sitting in the truck with my dog.....

Ha its a bit of a trek back Ms O...i might just turn up sometime unannounced.

Add to the above that Gary Kelly was missing for the season with shin splints...the previous season GG had made him captain at 23, just giving GG credit for not being completely anti youth ALAW

In all the years we've been out of the Premier league, why have we not hired Mick McCarthy, a proper Yorkshire man, takes no crap, highly experienced at this level, Leeds fan as a boy, surely he could have gotten us promoted by now

Clive we've been a basket case for many of them years with very little budget, the likes of Mick McCarthy would be mostly giving us a wide berth. He was Ireland's manager when we started suffering, he hasn't moved that many times. Been at Ipswich for more than 5 years.

Forgot that he played for Man City - ta for a that memory jogger WS.

Meanwhile for your Leeds United brain cell retainer area ..........

Let's not forget GG flashed the clubs cash too in his two year tenure - David Hopkin £3.5m,Martin Hiden £1.3m Gunner Halle £0.5m,Danny Granville £1.6m, Clyde Wiinjard £1.5m,Alfie Haarland 1.6m, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink £2m, Bruno Ribiero £0.5m, David Robertson £0.5m,Robert Mollenaar £1m,Derek Lilly £0.5m,Pierre Laurent £0.25m ........... all secured under Ridsdale's stewardship which the club had borrowed £60m against future gate receipts - and as we know the debt grew.Good/successful buys by GG in hindsight ? (as some serious wedge invested then).
