Yep we wasted some stupid money on players that we didn't really need and I suppose both have to share the flack for that.

Don't think O'Leary is the answer if TC goes and I doubt it will happen despite the rumours.

    Agree BB.

Only problem there tho is Graham used us as a stepping stone to suit his own needs.

Was gutted when he went to Spurs tho.

I know he wanted to go back down sarf Rev, but he was also frustrated that the club didn't back him in the transfer market, which I'm sure helped make his decision to move on easier.

Think his then partner also played a big part in him going back down sarf again as well..would have been interesting to see how he would have done with the budget O'Leary had.

No thanks. O'Leary hasn't managed for donkeys years, hasn't managed in the Championship and isn't really up to date with the game. Some good times briefly with him but serious questions would have to be asked if he ever was given the job.

Worst came to worst I'd rather see us go after a current manager in our own league doing well or someone with a bit of experience of managing a team like Leeds with the expectations and pressure + suited to modern championship football. Lee Johnson would be perfect in my eyes, not experienced with the pressure but young and doing a brilliant job + plays good football.

When the rumour started floating about a few days back, I thought this is a contingency plan for O'Leary taking over and I was actually quite open to that idea.

(Don't get me wrong, I think TC has had a steep learning curve with a squad that is talented but maybe not hardened enough for the championship).

However after reading all the other views I agree with most that O'Leary basically squandered a load of money on some very average players and eventually lost his way. Also agree that George Graham laid the foundations for him too.

O'Leary might do a decent job but its definitely a gamble as has been pointed out.

Personally think if it doesnt work out for TC, Pardew or Big Sam would get us back in to the PL fairly sharpish, I know they are not popular but they definitely know how to work the championship and are currently out of a job.

Big Sam not a bad shout, I agree. Hes a more modern manager than hes given credit for, shades of Wilko.

Big Sam yeah.... but who ever it is we need to strengthen certain positions with experience and ease up on chasing wingers

Big Sam would be a proper appointment.

Now that cellino has gone, what about getting redders back in some capacity, could be given a link up position where he works with both the first team and youth set up, he knows the league and more importantly the club
