Yet another FN shambles fae the blazers in the SFA who have never worn a pair of football boots, load's of clubs will suffer if they cannot afford the 600 to 650 K to be involved.EG if Hamilton can afford it all the elite players in Motherwell will join their bitter rivals and if none of our city's clubs can pay the talent in Dundee will go to Aberdeen or Edinburgh.
Honest to phuck i am at the end of my tether with these FN foreign idiot's being allowed to ruin our game and being paid a fortune to do it,FACT.

its a joke that some of the clubs who consistently produce young players are the ones who are missing out on being in the top tier level of this project brave idea.

the whole point was to produce more quality than quantity. that's a good idea IF they spread these "elite academies" across the country. which they haven't. In the top tier there's 4 clubs basically in Glasgow? 2 in Edinburgh? so wheres the options for someone from say from perth? travelling to glasgow, edinburgh or aberdeen? that's enticing.

why has no tayside team been given a top tier status? or the highland clubs? or no fife/stirlingshire team?

what are they basing these selections for top level status on btw? Youth players produced in recent years? facilities?
shouldn't united be fairly high up on the list??

seems like a joke to me

United are the 6th "biggest" club in the country, with a much better track record than most for producing players going back decades, where do we fit in exactly?

    Seems like a complete joke

it is a complete west coast joke - SFA are going further kill scottish fitba.

which other scottish club has produced more youth players in last 10 years than us?

no need to panic - its not going to happen

Does anyone have a link to the full project? I would very much like to read it.
Off the cuff this sounds like a project designed to destroy various clubs youth setup to the point where it would probably be beneficial to give it up. If clubs like Hamilton or Killie get special disposition of youth talent, facilities, coaches etc over Dundee United, there is something drastically wrong with the plan, period.
Could they not arrange neutral regional academies and employ the best coaches from that area so that all of Scotland is represented? The players go through the academy and choose their respected clubs from there, instead of this elitist agenda to suit particular clubs. After all the SFA should be doing all it can to help all of Scottish football clubs!

Also I'm hearing of clubs clamouring to raise funds and employ coaches so as to be part of the elite group. How many of these clubs were insolvent in the past? Not a good idea trying to join an elitist gentlemans club when Scottish football clubs don't have a pot to piss in.

Another thing about this FN project, the SFA said they needed a long term appointment to see it through and gave the job to Malky who was persona non grata in England(where he would rather work)because of his text gate scandal.Less than a year later he is touting himself for the Scotland manager's job!.

Hamilton have done well with their youth system but they are a tiny club

Only 5 clubs should be ahead of us in the pecking order though based on size and only 3 cities
