Hughie Gallacher - information needed please

Hi everyone,

just wondering if some people with local knowledge/ an interest in history might be able to help me out...?

I stumbled across this article a while ago and found it very interesting. http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-en...e-1124187.html

I, for one, had never heard the story before and found it really sad.

I've decided to use Wor Hughie's story as the basis for a documentary project that I'm doing at university and would like to visit his grave and the site of his death when I'm next in Newcastle. Just wondering if anyone on here is familiar with either location? And if you might know any extra background info on Gallacher's tragic death?

Any help would be greaty appreciated.
