Naysmith had the players in training Sunday and Monday to prepare for tonight’s fixture . I’m expecting another tough one

Apart from Montrose saturating the defence and hoping to take this to penalties (sorry to mention that again!) this should be a fairly straight forward affair for Queens, - who need to wipe the floor quickly with them (if at all possible) and then use the second half as a straight forward training session preparing for Saturday.

Queens should be far too strong for the part timers who have had to travel down for this match.

Montrose were a credit to the 2nd Division tonight. Derek Lyle has scored over a hundred goals for us but that one tonight must have been one of his best strikes. Just a relief to get through and one of those games you get no credit for winning and slated for not.

***** win financially against a stuffy Montrose side but tbh we will have to step a gear when Livvy, ICT and the Arabs
visit Palmy in the next 4 weeks. The visitors from Angus all looked like they had big jazz drums not helped by the
longest and TIGHTEST shorts seen in a long time

Once again Queens have been sadly let down by the fickle Palmy supporters with pathetic 700 odd turnout. Maybe they were put off by the foul weather and not impressed by Queens recent form. Montrose to be fair are no great attraction with their negative style of play.
Their time wasting tactics in the first half was quite blatant and when Queens used the same ploy in the closing stages the Montrose assistant coach nearly had kittens.

Quite happy with result and Queens did well against team whose sole intention was to park the bus. Saturday’s game will be entirely different and Livi will perhaps let us play some football.

I was telt off by some old bag in the main stand that I was acting like a hooligan by shouting too much - pathetic !
