    Know what you mean Swale. Glad to see the back of him - if it actually happens - but the end of dictatorship usually results in a period of chaos and it’s invariably the poorest who suffer the most.

    Honestly I think for many African states, a military dictatorship is preferable to civilian dictators.
    Now I can understand the possible paradox in making such a statement, but unless asked I don't think another long winded answer of mine is required.

    It would seem that the coup isn't, in the first place, designed to get rid of Ebagum. It is intended to ensure his wife Grace doesn't take over. She is deemed, even by Mugabe's biggest fans, to make him look like a week old labrador pup.
