    Danny Batth

Scuse the spelling! Didn't realise, in my ignorance, that he was of Asian decent. Wants to play for India, good luck to him, he's had some press, from us of course, but he certainley has potential. Hopefully Nuno will be able to bring him to his best.

Who knows what his best is? He has certainly improved a lot under Nuno. Let's hope that there is even more to come.

Do try and keep up Woody! You spend enough time in the air.

Woody, you are a spring chicken compared with Woking and myself. But you are correct about old age: now where did I put the TV control?

    What is a TV control?

Whilst on the subject of age, I really don't like this cold and damp weather, it plays havoc with the knotholes in my wooden leg!

I always thought he got too harsh of reviews from many fans. He's not a world beater, but he's a solid, steady CB. I don't think it's a coincidence that his play has improved with better talent around him. He's not going to succeed when he's the best non-attacking player on the field (which was too often under previous regimes). Now that he's got Ruddy, Miranda, Boly, Neves and Saiss assisting him, he's performing well.

He has improved under Nuno that's for sure. He needs to keep it going.

He lost his first team place but got on with it like a pro, came back due to injuries and has done a solid job.

Will always get a few important goals over the season also.

It would be less than honest of me to suggest I was ever an admirer of Danny Batth, in fact there were times when IMO he was League 1 standard (at best) and that faith in his club captaincy was misplaced. However, this season he seems to have matured greatly and his improvement as both player and captain has been impressive. If he's good enough and wants to play for the Indians, then good luck to the lad.....(don't suppose Custer will mind ).
