Alan Pardew confirmed as new West Brom head coach. Gary Megson left the club.

    PEACE IN.
Sir Gary did them proud with his parting gift last night. Pardew in and let's see if he and the players, plus the Pulis out brigade are up for the fight!

Alan Pardew has a reputation for starting well with just about every club he has been at.

Saying that, the vast majority of Newcastle fans I know think he is a smug arrogant to$$er that when the going got a bit tough, showed his true colours.

If things don't go to plan, how long before we get the first PARDEW OUT cry?

Personally, I think he will keep them up for the simple reason they will score more goals and nick a few wins.

He does usually come out of the gates fast, but I wonder if that will happen with this team. Built to bunker in. Not sure how they generate an attack.

Yep. A couple of games in and it's PARDEW OUT already

Dropped into the dreaded bottom three after getting deservedly beaten by a very poor side.

    The Albion way ffs.

The towel has already been thrown by a few, at least give Pardew time to get the side playing his way. I look back on the time when Steve Clarke took them to ninth in the table and his achievements got knocked as it was Hodgson's side. So now, it's still Pulis's fault despite not being at the club. Pardew needs a good transfer window in January.

Need to bring in a lot of players in January. Most of their MF and attackers are players suited for Pulis’ grind it out style. They know nothing other than park and hoof, at least as a unit. I think it’s going to be a dire holiday season at the Hawthornes

Evans will almost certainly be sold in January to fund spending. Several of the BIG clubs seem to be interested in his signature. He will be missed when he goes.

They are in this position through a lack of investment when they were in a position of strength. It is much easier to attract top talent when you are in the top ten, and not fighting a relagation battle. We are a good example of that, relegated through lack of investment in the squad, and some poor transfer dealings.

They have rightly laughed at us over the last few years, taking every opportunity to gloat. I think the shoe will be on the other foot soon.

They have been bottom of the Premiership for ten minutes tonight after Swansea took the lead at Everton. But an Everton penalty right on half time has put Swansea back.
