I know I sound it and call me slapdash if you like but I feel this so called EU is a fraudulent organisation.

They seem to be able to hold us to ransom simply because we have voted to leave them, and the way this has dragged on really infuriates me as we look like we have no backbone and are in between a rock and a hard place, which we are not.

I would pay them for what we owe them on this 2 year (get ready) gap, and stop any more discussions.

When the day comes that we have actually left them, start negotiations then, we import more than we export to them, I don't believe the EU could function (legally or illegally) as well if we was not involved, some Countries would want to deal with us as that is where some of their main revenues come from.

We have the rest of the world to trade with, we should not even be tolerating this nonsense especially as it looks for all the world to see that we are weak and on our knees.

For our Government to recently go from zero, to £20 billion, to £40 billion in a matter of weeks makes them look like they are making it up as they go along. If you owned a company would YOU employ them?

As I suspected 59/60, you are unaware, or more likely simply reluctant to accept, that legally we owe them nothing. You have no idea how much the EU wants or expects, and no idea how much you think we should pay them. Yet you feel qualified to criticise our negotiators with such a flimsy grasp of the actual situation.

Your claim that we have gone from Zero, to £20 billion to £40 billion in weeks is simply untrue. As bizarre as your claim that it was Gordon Brown responsible for the thousands killed by the Greens obsession with reducing CO2 emissions. It is difficult to have a serious discussion with a fantasist, but I shall continue to persevere.

We should just go about our business honestly and professionally Alto - that's all I ask.

It might not be official yet but the Labour Party are suggesting we sling them £20 billion with guaranteed access to the Single Market, retain the Customs Union with EU goods, allow free movement of people between ourselves and the 27 EU member nations and crack on! Sort the rest as we go along!
Corbyn's main objective is reported to free this country from EU bureaucracy and rule ourselves from Westminster. Sounds OK to me!
I also love the rumour that we are now about to recruit 3000 Polish administrators to get a tab on the number of immigrants that are in this country. You simply could not make it up (or could you?)

Sinkov, neither of us has any idea what the divorce bill is. So, if you think that we legally owe them zero, why on earth are we offering them £40 billion (at the moment, let's see what the figure is next week)?
Perhaps you should be part of our negotiating team
And, yes. Ministers were fairly recently saying that we should pay them zero. Then Theresa May offered them £20 billion, today it is £40 billion. Come December, who knows. They are just making fools of themselves. Or perhaps you can explain how it is all logical.

And yep, Gordon Brown made that decision on diesel cars. I am not making it up.

Honesty is one of the last things you'd expect an MP to be, Professionalism is another 59_60.

I can understand your cynicism Alto.

Our politicians, generally, have a poor record of honesty, leading us to see them as untrustworthy.

Trust, honesty and professionalism are ***** if you wish to strike a good deal with your partners. This is especially true if you wish to continue to trade with them in the future. The way our negotiators are going about their business makes me cringe.

Deals simply don't get any bigger than the Brexit negotiations, but I fear that the Tories are trying to keep everyone in their party happy and seriously threatening to making a botch of it.
