It's the managemenet and selectors who are at fault RAB.

The ECB's stated aim is to win the 2020 WCup 50 over competition, that's one reason our fastest bowler , Plunkett, is sat on the sidelines waiting to play in the ODI's.

It's why the County Championship is now played in April, May and September as the one day and T20 is played at the height of summer. It's why we have no spinners developing because they never bowl in the summer in the CC to learn their trade.

It's the ECB who are pressing ahead with a city based T20 comp that will have no rooted fan base.

Joe was given a pup, certainly.

He couldn't refuse the 'honour' but he's got a Head Coach who is a one day coach and has lost more tests than he's won.

The Dog and Duck would thrash the Greedy Grabbers any day of the week

Maybe my wording was poor TT, I put the blame full square af the feet of the Management and Selectors, what on earth has Whittaker ever achieved worthy of note ? The system is flawed from the top down......

I did wonder if we were coming from the same point of view RAB.

    As you say, Whittaker, why?

The late John Hampshire always used to say that umpires saw the closest action of anyone and could not undersatnd why they didn't consult them more.

The way the ECB run cricket is akin to the FA ( and they're bad enough) wanting to stop league football and play cup matches only.

You can't develop test class players if you base the game around T20 and one dayers.

He's back at the ground and plans to bat according to BT sports.

Apparently he says it won't last till tea now.

Joe looks decidedly rough but is batting with ease ATM
