    This idea seems totally sensible.

The running of the club would be opened up to proper scrutiny. Could allow for good governance and responsibility

ST could continue to run the club if he justified that to enough of the shareholders, be answerable to how he ran the club and potentially benefit financially if he ran the club well.

Would be ideal if they sold a bigger % of shares to those who wanted to invest IMO

Might be different though if the decisions were going to definitely impact on the club? Concentrated minds and all that. (as opposed to idle boasting and internet chatter that has no impact at the moment)

I would like to take this opportunity to rule myself out of the running as club president,i freely admit i would get smashed home and away at the Hospo,be rolling aboot with Funsters in the corridors of power, using club funds to pay for the rent when i'm playing away and the bedsit would be awash with empty champagne bottles bearing the club crest.

    Gunboat for president!

Even with the above admissions still an improvement ...and some good poems might come out of it too 😂

It's all too dangerous.......yes when funsters try to take pictures of chairman Gunboat on their iPhones after a derby, I can imagine him trying to grab the phone and getting punched in the p17ss.

^^^ This. I've never understood the total negativity to fan ownership on here.

I think the opposition is more to fan running of the club rather than ownership per se. It's just ownership and leading tend to be tied together when it comes to ownership of companies the size of United.
