Thread: 1-1 tonight

    1-1 tonight

Good point, looked well deserved from the occasional flashes of dodgy stream I saw.

Played well, tactics spot on. Shame We're talking about the standard of refereeing yet again. An absolute joke of a penalty against us yet again. If you think Sundays was soft, wait till you see this one.

Let's be absolutely crystal clear here.

The only reason we did not win that match tonight was because of Willie Collum. An absolutely scandalous penalty award.

It really is one rule for Celtic and another for everyone else right now.

We deserved to lose on Sunday and the penalty award then didn't materially affect the end result, but tonight was a different story. We have been denied three points by a disgraceful decision and blatant cheating by their player.

The problem for me is that clowns like Collum,Thomson and Madden will still be refereeing next week, next month or next season picking up their wages.Whereas one of their ludicrous decisions will cost a team a trophy, promotion or league safety all of which has huge impacts for the clubs involved. Until the referee supervisors take these clowns to task and hand out suspensions of some length to them then nothing will change.Collum in particular seems to have an unrealistic belief that he has to be the major focal point of any match he referees, sorry delete referees should be he is in charge of.I also have come to the conclusion that Scott Brown is totally exempt from any bookings from any referee, the man could commit murder on the pitch and he would get away with it.

The problem is that the refereeing supervisors are out of the same mould. The whole refereeing element of Scottish football needs a drastic overhaul but the body who would be responsible for that ie the SFA is totally unfit for purpose.

Easily-conned referees are part of the problem, but unless you believe they're actually corrupt rather than incompetent, the only people actively cheating in incidents like this are the players, and that's what ultimately needs addressing.
