    Second bid reported

The English speaking newspaper from Abu Dhabi have reported another bid headed by Amanda Stavely.

They say that Ashley rejected the first deal of £350 million paid over three years because of the conditions such as relegation and tax evasion.

They say that a lower bid has been made to be paid up front with no conditions.

It's hard to say how true this is as there is a non disclosure agreement in place.

The fact their is a non disclosure case in question tells e a lot
and why would ash take a lower bid if paid up front
he doesnt need the money so why take less
he would take more and wait for it

i have heard its the relegation cause causing the problems

The only reason I can see him taking the 300 over 350 is that he knows how poorly he's done running the club and if there are relegation clauses and such in place, he doesn't want to gamble losing a larger sum of money.

Hopefully he nibbles the latest deal, she throws in an extra £10m and closes the deal.

If Ashley fucks this up by not selling-and if we go down again because of it-then all the anti-Ashley stuff of the past few years will seem like John and Yoko's bed love-in compared to what will unfold.

    Yup.

Thing is, i'm sure he knows it and i'm sure Stavely knows it - which is partially causing the problem. Ashley wants what he considers a fair price (actually fair enough) and Stavely wants to pay the cheapest price she can pay (also fair enough) and she knows that fan power if we feel he might **** it will go against him massively. Yet at the same time Ashley is just as likely to dig his heels in over a perceived hit to his pride etc.

Does that in anyway make sense

Yes it does make sense Jammy.

Ashley has typically dug his heels in where other situations are concerned and as we know, to the club's and fan's loss has made rash decisions just because he can afford to.

These have led us to two avoidable relegations and several near relegations.

It does. Sort of Mexican standoff unfortunately.
