I care a lot that my country is about to implement its worst ever political decision. The gung-ho brigade have sufficient wealth to safeguard them from the worst consequences. For the rest, a painful realisation. This will be one occasion where there will be no satisfaction in saying 'I told you so', unlike Munto and the Trew takeover.

Well, of course. Aren't all of our responses on political issues a matter of opinion? They can never belong in the water boils at 100 degrees C category. Only the future will tell whether opinion turned out to be fact and even then the pigheaded will say stuff like 'we may not be as well off but at least we make our own laws'.
