Another of his promises pre election, but one that could have major repercussions in the Muslim world, in Israel and perhaps in the US. The Jewish community in the US is pleased though!

The problem is that history evolves into the present.

Jerusalem was seceded to the Arabs following various Middle Eastern conflicts. If I recall correctly Saladin took it from the Jews in around 1180 AD. Diasporas of the Jewish people, medieval shenanigans and much later British interventions have totally screwed up the whole kit'n'kaboodle.

Hebron, Bethlehem the West Bank, Gaza, the Golan Heights, Israeli captures of Jordanian, Egyptian and Syrian land are all issues that have added fuel to a burning fire.

Trump is just slinging more gasoline on it.

To sort out the Israeli/Palestinian conflict needs men of intellect and strong political will. Sadly there are none of those knocking about at present.

Another difficult fact for Lefties to grasp Dave, is that it's been official American policy since 1995 to move their Embassy to Jerusalem. In fact a law was passed in 95 to this effect, but it hasn't happened so far because the CiC has signed a waiver every six months since then to delay the move. So all the Donald will be doing is putting into effect the decision taken in 95, he'll be carrying out the wishes of the 1995 Potus, who was none other than Lefty folk hero Bill Clinton. Nice one Bill.

Incidentally I've just watched the BBC 6pm news and guess what, despite going into great detail on the subject, they forgot to mention the above fact, that it's all down to the lefty perv Bill Clinton. Quelle surprise !!
