A couple days ago I had the radio on in the background, the lead story all afternoon on the hourly BBC news bulletins was some chap called Kerslake, who had resigned as the head of a large NHS Trust, complaining about the funding crisis in the NHS. I didn't take a great deal of notice, it was a typical BBC 'NHS in crisis due to Tory cuts' story, they run them on an almost daily basis.

Turns out though that all was not as it seemed. Kerslake works for the far left of the Labour Party, he works with the Shadow Treasury team, he's helping write their manifesto, and he had been asked to 'consider his position' as head of the Trust due to it's shambolic financial position, his resignation was a case of jumping before he was pushed.

But of course the BBC didn't mention any of this, while their reportage was accurate as far as it went, Kerslake was in charge of an NHS Trust, he had resigned, and he was moaning about a lack of funding, but they only tell you their version of events, only what THEY want you to know. I mentioned it earlier on this thread, this is how they operate, their MO, bias by omission, and they are very good at it. Unless you cultivate a degree of cynicism regarding their coverage of news and current affairs, you might not even notice it.
