MATCH DAY POST: The Mighty Blades v Bristol City

So after the third match of disappointment we have the 'chance' to put things right live on TV against a good Bristol city side, who will definitely show how far we've come and how far away we might be. I expect a pretty tight game from their point of view, but can't really see them parking the bus.... As they say

    Anyway

    Any team news?

    Unchanged?

    Baldock a definite returnee?

    A starting place for Brooks?

Had to rush this a bit due to Christmas shopping day out (terror) but I'm going for a 2-1 blades victory with Fleck getting both

    UTB

Baldock hasn't made it, but respect the fact that they are not rushing him back. Long term is more important than short term.

From what I saw of Brooks last week, I feel he would be better starting on the bench - so hope to see Billy back in the starting 11.

Also hope the defence is shored up tonight - we looked nervous at times and once doubt is there, its there. Wright back hopefully.

Fleck/Duffy/Lundstrum looked good to me - hope they start.

Crowd - get behind the team - its one of our biggest strengths that not many teams have at the moment.

    3-1 Blades for me.

Enjoy all who are going and wrap up warm

Before jettisoning the trusty 3-5-2 system in favour of something more traditional, I'd try it at least one more time but shuffle the pack...

    -----------------Blackman----------------------

    -------Basham - Wright - O'Connell---------

    CCV - Duffy - Lundstram - Fleck - Stevens

    --------------Sharp - Clarke--------------------

I think this is a way of shoring up the defence without shattering CCV's confidence. Plus he's shown previously he's able to get forward down the right and create good chances.

    --------Moore-----------
    -----Wright-- Stearman-- JOC------
    ---Bash (if no Balders)---Fleck---Lundy----Stevens
    ---------------Duff------------
    ----------Sharp----Clarke-----------

No time for sentiments CCV has to learn the hard way. Blackmans dropped *******s that Moore would have got slaughtered for and Long executed !!!

A dull 1-0 to us would be OK by me Chippy.

No way would I drop Bash to make way for Stearman mate, he’s shown nothing so far and we need an attacking RCB, Wright to CB and Bash back to RCB.
