    NEW Queens Tartan

I may have missed a post about this but just saw the new design in the club shop at the Palmy
Christmas Night and although entirely different from the old one of 12 (?) years ago I personally
like it. Mr Paterson in the shop said scarves will be available in the new tartan in due course.

A lot smarter than the washed out blue one the club had before.

It was nothing to do with the club

What’s the story behind that palmylad? I thought I’d seen them on sale in the shop and always assumed the tartan was commissioned by the club. The new one looks a lot less garish, in the photo at least.

Think it was the idea of former Chairman Norman Blount and the design work taken by David Anderson from Anderson Kilts . The tartan was selected by the people of Dumfries, who voted for this design.

It’s a Dumfries tartan rather than a Queens one ...... please correct me if I’m wrong
