    Is Livermore the new Brunt.

I've always been a big Brunt fan,but a lot have moaned about him. We were a better team with Brunty in. In my opinion Livermore is a good player, good on the ball and off the ball.

Can't agree with you Soulman. Brunt offers us quality on set pieces and crosses, which is why we struggle so desperately for goals when he is not in the team.

Livermore offers us almost nothing in an attacking sense. If you watch him closely, you'll find almost everyone of his passes goes sideways or backwards. There's no problem in doing that if you're breaking up play, but I find Yacob is our best midfielder for that. So I don't think Livermore deserves his place in the team and he should be dropped.

The only time I ever thought Brunt was deservedly getting a bit of stick was when he first joined us and he wasn't pulling his weight. If you watch him now he is one of our hardest working players and also the one most likely to create something. The stick he has got in the last couple of years is completely unjustified in my opinion. Unfortunately I don't think people realise this until he isn't playing.

Could his sideway passes be due to poor movement of our strikers. He spotted Rondon at Wembley. Glad fans have come round to Brunt.

I thought it was quite a straightforward pass to make at Wembley. You could be right though, our strikers are designed to be workhorses with their back to goal, would be nice if we had someone trying to run in behind the other teams defence. The player I thought had good movement when he first broke into the side was Berahino. Since then though we haven't had a striker looking to get in behind.

I don't think Livermore often looks up to try and play a telling forward pass, he's more of a safety first player. Again, there's no problem with that but he has to offer us more from a defensive point of view than he is. I think he has good attributes, maybe he's burned out mentally.

Our movement is poor, must drive our better players mad. Pardrew has already noticed our throw ins. Foster seemed to be looking to play out from the back on Saturday. Early days onwards and upwards.

Totally agree. I can't believe that - at Spurs - he looked really good. For us he's been useless week in, week out. I wish Southgate would join a Championship team and buy him off us - say £2m.

If Brunt never assists goals or scores goals then Livermore is definitely the new Brunt.
Seriously look at his career stats he has made a career out of doing nothing. He is a very lucky boy. Absolute none entity of a footballer. He can't even tackle. Even Craig Gardner chipped in with a goal occasionally
He does however model the kits in the brochures well though. Another Pulis waste of money.

Need a like button...he was useless last time out and the time before that...it's a good job I'm a senior person or perhaps I might remember more or was he on a sicko before that...

Nothing more pleasing than Brunty taking corners and set pieces....I can remember him taking a few from the left with a massive outswing and Jonas almost hitting it square to the goal and the same from the right with the swing taking out defenders and goalkeepers...one special one was at Spurs he took a corner from the right....took out everyone with the biggest in swinger except Dawson who scored with a very simple header at the far post. The link up play when Ridgewell was left back was often defence cutting and had many teams scrambling
    Brunty every time....

Them swinging crosses that used to find Gera at the far stick.
I have thought about it a lot and cannot see any comparison between him and Livermore. In fact Livermore is that bad he makes Yacob look good.

I must admit to liking Yacob especially when he just breaks the play and moves the ball four or five yards to set up another attack...although he looked a bit suspect versus Swansea but then I looked who his partners were in midfield...and he did score against the gunners .
