Mr Benitez seems to be Teflon man. Pardew and McClaren also suffered from under investment plus they couldn't choose which players to buy. They had to rely on the talent-spotting of Messrs Carr and Charnley. But if they'd lost 7 out of 8 there wouldn't be this scramble to find excuses. But now it's the fault of Ashley ( and he's not blameless ) and the players for making mistakes.Well one mistake for me was playing Joselu week after week when Gayle was available. Managers are judged on their results. This applied to Rafa's predecessors and it applies to managers of other clubs. I can't see us winning any game before January. I guess we just can't compete with megabucks clubs like Burnley.

I'm with Kev here, though.

Tonight's second half was fucking shit but when you look at the players Rafa's had to buy because Ashley wouldn't sanction the players he did want then it's no surprise. They're Chimpo squad players in the main or lower reaches of the Prem at best. Merino and Lejeune are settling into this league so it's too early to tell but even our 'best' players are Premier League squad players other than maybe Lascelles.

Rafa has to take part of the blame for team selection and game management but this is still down to years of under-investment and Rafa's hands being tied in this last transfer window.

Fans turned on Keegan as well .Keegan also told us he didn't have money to spend ,under the same owner as well!we have a championship squad it's a **** squad that has took years of ripping teams apart to get to this ****e squad .one thing we do have is a top class manager who has decided to stick with us because he knows what can be built here .if the numbers being thrown about are true what Rafa will get to spend in the next two years tbh there won't or shouldn't be any of this current squad still here .
