The press reports on Clibbens' comments

Strange time for Clibbens to come out talking, after BBCRC put out the challenge. How much would he have said if they hadn't? - External Link

    I'm horrified.

Re: the ground - "We are starting by considering what we realistically need" - "we" includes Andrew Jenkins who sees us a nice little non-league club. What this translates as is "We will build something as small and as cheaply as possible". The directors don't want success - they will build for failure and attempt to keep us as small as possible.

Every other team referred to as - we've "seen first-hand what can be achieved by a joined-up community approach in other towns and cities" has moved to a stadium with an INCREASED capacity. The MINIMUM requirement from a ground move is that we retain the current capacity - we know we can fill it - and did at tier three level in the not too distant past.

I don't agree it is necessary we have to move, the current ground should be developed phase by phase - so I'm deeply suspicious of the real motives behind leaving Brunton Park - as should you all be. If we do move ground - then location is key - it MUST be as accessible as the current ground and I'd reckon the capacity should be around 20,000. Think small - stay small and get smaller. Move to a venue which is terrible to get to - and reduce our crowds even further.
