    OTish Sean Dyche

Am I correct in thinking he applied for our managers job when he retired from playing at Millwall.

He may have even been shortlisted, I can't remember. We plumped for Harford and that worked out well didn't it!

Looking at what he's done with Burnley, who were a similar sized club to us at the time, he's definitely the one that got away!

Edit it Dyche didn't retire till 2007 so it must've been Alan Knill who we plumped for. Still didn't work out well for us though.

Alan Knill took over as caretaker manager when Ronnie was about to be moved on just prior to Mick ( win no games ) Harford took over.
AK took charge when Harford went & was later offered the job full time.
Fighting a losing battle though especially when Will Hoskins & Lee Williamson left.
Chris Wilder must rate AK he had him at Northampton & now has him as assistant at the Blades.

EDIT: Yeah Sean Dyche played for Watford & Northampton after Millwall.
    The lads done well.
