Bang on Jimmy - Wasn't fit enough, too much weight and not mobile enough but when his chance comes ..........

Needed more from him in making more diagonal runs thus taking defenders with him to create space for others to utilise - not a target man either but potentially could be as effective as McContract when on fire who incidentally misfired to for us in his early days ............. has to do his bit closing down as well otherwise will be just a 'passenger' tactical wise over 90 mins.Bedded in now but not sure if he'll be a game changer if asked off the bench but TIME will tell if his technical attributes can be galvanised into our developing team ethos ................
Constructive criticism please note from me.

Back as a starter then, right, Mrs O?

Or you'd need to find another club to support, obviously?

And there I was thinking that you of all the contributors to the forum would have noted the irony in Jez' post! Of course its posible that you and Jimmy are so close (opinion-wise of course), that you were bound to associate with his view, no matter how bonkers it made him look in the context of the original post?

Roofe should start IMO no doubt . You don't change a winning team and especially don't change a striker who's having a good season and scored another hat trick from CF role last game . That said Lasogga still can do some damage this season if he applies himself in the right manner .

    Agree 100%

what would the donut stores and food troughs do if we didn't have him spending him money in town? I'm guessing the liquor stores would take a pop as well.

I fully expect he'll end up playing once he's back from his injury. wouldn't know what to do if we ever had a coach that just stuck with a winning team on the pitch. we get rid of the owners that want to sell every player that would bring in more than a million and put a team together that can play with almost any of the teams and we become a bundesliga farm team.

    fvck the irony.

We have had far worse strikers than lasogga before now, he's a good squad player and can obviously score goals, he's a decent option with the right players around him

Agreed Clive but do we have the right players to surround him with. Wood was a decent player but the better players we had didn’t really suit his game so we resorted to hoof ball.

From where I sit with the clever attacking players we have you want fast, skilful players with a good first touch and who can make intelligent runs. That seems more like Roofe or Ekuban to me.
