If folk don't like poncey restaurants then it's ok. You do all now you don't have to go to them?

Aye, mebbe, but it is possible to be blindsided......say yer first time in a funcy place for an anniversary or the like, or if you're awa fae hame someplace.

It's possible to have a nice, high-end, "occasion" type restaurant without going down the Nouvelle route.

Exactly what happened in the Granite Park to me on my anniversary. I remember apologising to the ex for suggesting it. Then moaning to Jessi who we bumped into in the near by Under The Hammer

I was thinking about this thread yesterday.

The Mrs was just wanting soup ( it was the middle of the afternoon)
I dinna like soup so was looking for something middling to have.

Ended up with goose breast , plum sauce and fried tattie dumplings.

Looked a bit poncy and although fine enough I'm glad Mrs Donsdaft got crusty bread with her goulash.

    2 pints of lager.

I'd fancied the restaurant for a while so I'm glad I didn't go in the evening.

A bit on the expensive side for here at about £22 all in.
