One of the great tykes , absolute legend , not a term I use lightly , in my 50 years he's second to Ronnie Glavin in the legendary stakes .

    Good luck Redders .

Great player. Unfortunately he hasn't been as successful as a manager.

Think the right time for NR would have been this season.

Mellow , he was the heart and soul of our PL promotion winning side , he dug us out of more holes that season with a goal or just simply drove the team on .

The PL season he was simply head and shoulders above anybody else that season , 14 goals from midfield , simply magnificent the whole campaign .

Sends shivers down my spine looking back on our first ever top flight goal on opening day at Oakwell .

Right in front of the Ponty End and stood with his arms raised giving it large while we all went mental .

    Magic moment .

We shouldn't have got rid of him when we did.

Hindsight says we may as well have took the inevitable relegation sooner rather than later.

I loved NR as a player and was very excited when we appointed him as our manager. It didn't work out for us, but that doesn't affect my respect for him and I wish him well.
