Apart from the last 10 of the first half and after their goal they weren't at the races. We could have put them to the sword much easier and earlier but we didn't. They were dangerous from dead ball situations
Carson had nowt to do. Both full backs played well and Wisdom was dangerous going forward. The CHs were good with Davies being the better of the two. Hudds and GT were top class and Ledley would not, under normal circumstances, get the shirt back if fit for Monday, however, the big question is whether GT can play Saturday and Monday or will be back in the bench for Sheff U. Lawro is, IMO, back to trying too hard and would be better playing the Vydra role and that aint going to happen. Vydra was off song today missing a clear chance and he still keeps failing to control the ball although they double teamed him every time he even looked like getting the ball. Russell played well. Winnall.... great power on the header, especially as the corner was floated in rather than being given pace and that shot for the second........ magic!!
The ref? He was very much in our favour with his errors in the first half. Did his best to even it out 2nd half but failed.
This was a game which the ref would have stopped at half time had it been a boxing match.
Very pleased with the display.
Wisdom is stronger and more athletic but to be fair to Baird he rarely let's us down when called upon.
Great to see GT coming through unscathed and complementing Hudds, both have a great touch and vision.
Sheff Utd are wobbling but will have a lot of energy and I think will really come at us - ironically I'd rather they did that than sit back.
Just watched Channel 5 and Mick McCarthy said we were by far the better side.
Rowett has another selection headache but just now he's making all the right calls.
Interesting that very little mention of us in the transfer market. That could be a good sign of a steady ship?
