Bottom half of tier four and the average ratings reflect this.
You could argue I've been harsh on the manager as his two of his four most influential players (by my own rating) are missing from the side as long term injuries. Kennedy only managed a handful of games and despite not being at his best - Adams was still influential enough to pick up star man four times and out rate the majority of our squad players.
That being said, what the table amply demonstrates is the poor performance of the this summer's additions to the squad. Bonham, Hope and Etuhu have blatantly underperformed - Bennett also (despite his recent improvement) has also been way off the pace. Our owners backed Curle in the transfer window - and let's be honest - he blew it. The players he brought in haven't made us better - they've made us worse. I'm hoping to hope he won't be allowed to spunk away any more resource in January...
James Brown has achieved top rating by merely being dependable and consistent - which again demonstrates one of our major issues in the lack of our being able to maintain basic, professional performance levels.
All in all however, if you've appeared more than ten times and your average rating is lower than 6/10 then your performance levels have not been acceptable. I don't think any one of our players (with the exception of Brown) can look at themselves and say their performances have been anywhere near good enough.
Any talk of "play-offs" or anything else is fantasy island - until we can raise the performance level consistently on the field of play, and there is no evidence of this currently. It still looks like our manager has taken us as far as he is capable.
