    This week

Feels like we're saying this quite regularly now but this coming week is crucial not just for this season but ultimately the long term good of the Club. With 6 points up for grabs, an implosion like what followed the Dumbarton debacle 12 months ago would be fatal. We simply have to get back on the horse quickly AND get new bodies in - none of the last minute bargain bin horse trading we were subjected to last year please. Back then, we fannied about, whilst Hibs ACTED and the rest as they say.........

Haven't seen any word on Fraser and Flood as yet, but bloody hell we need them fit and back in. But for all that, their recent injury prone-ness was highlighted again on Friday, which with Fyvie out means it's even more critical to get in extra cover (plus a striker).

Keep it together United - it's all still in our hands. Starting tomorrow.

Most folk saying we need 4 more players but that was before Fyvie & Edge were out long term and Paddy got punted. You look at our bench and its full of kids that are not quite ready.

Its quite fortunate that we have the team bottom of the league at home next game or we'd really have struggled as along with Fyvie & Edge out we could be without Murdoch, Flood & Fraser.

4 new players is a minimum imo. Its time to take this financial gamble to get up, just hope Shabba has the contacts to better our Squad or we're looking at the play-offs again.

The problem we have, whether guys want to believe it or not, is we're not an attractive club anymore like Hibs were this time last year. We have absolutely no chance of signing guys like Commons, Shinnie, Holt, Ambrose, Humphreys. It's gonna be bargain basement singings once again and we just have to hope that the manager has a good list of contacts and gets his signings right.

Part of the trouble comes from within! If only we had spent a wee bit of money, we might not be looking for the kind of player that Shabba has made his priority. Take that to this window and it doesnt fill me with confidence that, should we need to, the player that might win us the league wont be available at our price.

Its not real aye. Our 2 best midfielders out for most of the rest of the season and imo we won't be able to replace them with players of the same or better ability

Holy phuck - we need to spend and spend now. With Fyvie and Fraser out, unless we do, we are staying down. No question.

So as far as i can work out, Fyvie, Fraser and Edje are all long term. Toshney and Briels are not too far away from a return with no word on Flood but hopefully just a couple of weeks out. Keatings and Murdoch have arrived back at just the right time but have not had a good run this season because of injury. As i understand it, quite a few of these played under Ray carrying injuries and i hope that is not part of the reason why they are continually injured.

That aside, short term other players we have need to step up to the plate, and Shabba needs to be backed or the best we can hope for is play-offs semis and finals!
