Yep, being better than most out of a very poor bunch in this country doesn't make it good.

I take my hat off to Crystal Palace fans in that section that just sings all the match , we really need a section like that where everyone who wants to sing , stand up , and f0000k about can go it will improve the atmosphere so much which has gone from the Lane , some times I am embarrassed by the lack of singing etc.
Aahh. The good old #old# kop. The white wall mob. The main mob. Shreds part which was to the left of the mob at the back. The longley mob halfway back. The parkgate mob. !!!. Different groups age wise. Then there was the EDS pen. Great days on the good old kop. Then it was all destroyed by all seater kop. Never gonna be the same but fair play to Palace.

And Nigel Senior with Nigel Junior who obviously never went to a football stadium before 2000 moaning whenever someone shouts, sings or stands up

It's the same everywhere. Only away fans on the pi55 make any sort of noise
Spot on JJ. And don't ever swear, young Nigel will be so offended.

Please explain how swearing ever improved anything...apart from hitting your thumb with a hammer.

OK I will. Swearing is part of an outing of emotion. It used as to emphasize points and characteristics i:e look at that chap over there or look at that c u n t over there. See the difference? Also, a lot of of our songs contain expletives and just would NOT be the same without.
I'm with Billy Conolly on swearing, it enhances expression, and at the end of the day only words, but a lot better than sat like a **** singing United United RA RA RA, and getting offended at others swearing, because thats what its unfortunately coming to.

Was always told by my dear old ma after a slap to the back of the head " if you want to swear, go to the football match"

So you think I shouldn't be offended by (what my dad would say was) pit language? I do when there is not need of the extra expletive.
