    Transfer Window Watch

Now that the Window is open, given the current injury list, we need at least one creative midfielder and a forward that will stick the ball in the back of the net. I am pretty sure that Laszlo will have identified who he wants by now. The Club MUST ensure that they work tirelessly to back him. And that means getting in the players required not at the end of the month, not next week, but NOW. Surely, even by now, Baldy recognises the longer term effects of stupid short term decisions in a January transfer Window.

To summarise, we need the right players in, right now. I'm sure it's as simple as that, especially in January.

Agreed, yesterday was a bonus - good win for us and closing the gap.

We are frail away from home, need a signing or two and pronto.

Starting 11 was good but only kids left on the bench.

we are like arsenal fans constantly having horrendous jan windows which usually determines the rest of the season as being pish

as we all know I am in the 'get thompson tae F56K' parade...our worst run in our life time coincides since he started loitering about tannadice, lets see what he gets upto this window and his bum chum Southern

    low down so far

    Falkirk 2 in
    Raith 1 in
St Mirren have had 2 in (morgan transfer TBC but still affects us)

there may be more but some swift activity already from our counterparts.

Laszlo will look to recruit this month and he revealed that he has been promised funds by chairman Stephen Thompson and his directors.

The United boss said: “We have to look to bring players in and the board and the chairman are being really kind to me.

“We have a budget free for us to use at the moment.

“We will be looking to bring players in who can take over from the injured ones and help the team too.”

I'm mindful not just of our current injury list but of last January's activity. While we fannied about, Hibs acted and in no small thanks to their signings, iirc won every game in January. By the time we got in the stellar signing of the pub player from Barnet, the league was gone and thanks to the almost insurmountable hurdle that is the play offs, so was promotion. On every level, we cannot afford to make the same mistake twice.

Indeed, doesn't make thing any easier though.

Play-offs are not insurmountable when finishing 2nd, our problem was having three ties to overcome back to back

And an incompetent referee in the first leg of the final.
