Two rumours I heard today from (previously) sort-of-reliable sources, one particularly so: The first, from a workplace friend I know has an inside track at Burton, was a loan deal for Darren Bent. As he was telling me, I pulled up Benty's twitter feed which confirmed he is out for the season, so he should fit in well... My friend's colleague followed up by predicting we'd be signing Giles Barnes as midfield GT cover/supersub, which I have no way of disproving. He is a free agent of sorts, its the MLS offseason at the mo. Anyone?

Wasn’t there a rumour about Barnes rejoining about this time last year? He has, or had, many of the attributes we should do with but I’d be surprised. Big step up from the standard he’s used to and it would depend on him leaving his ego behind. Was chucked out of Disney in Orlando recently I believe. Might suggest he still has the type of ‘baggage’ we can do without.
