Good luck to him if he does end up at Ibrox. I'd much rather see him go there than to somewhere like Aberdeen or Dundee Utd if I'm honest. He's joining a bit of a basket case mind you, but good luck to him all the same.

Mediocre player to a mediocre club. Hardly ground-breaking news.

He's a former player...yesterday's man. Do we benefit from any transfer fee?

Why is it better for him to play for one of the bigot brothers than Aberdeen or Dundee Utd? Don’t get the logic.

He left in 2012 … why the forum interest ? Should we have an ex-player reunion ?

Precisely Das ... The 'Grew picked up his disability living allowance today too; but yet, not mentioned on the forum?!

It's just a personal opinion. I personally dislike Aberdeen and Dundee Utd far more than I do Rangers so naturally I'd rather he went to Ibrox than either of those two clubs. Others may see it differently of course, but that's how I see it.

And why the interest? I'd hazard a guess because he's a popular ex player making a reasonably big move, simple as that. Considering the hard-on many Motherwell fans had and still do have for James McFadden then I think the 'interest' in this move is small by comparison.

Murphy came through as one of our own and scored some brilliant goals some decent sides, I don't see why Motherwell fans wouldn't have a passing interest in his career.

I believe we will pick up some pennies - see annexe 5 here: http://resources.fifa.com/mm/documen..._e_neutral.pdf
