Another £40,500 in the transfer kitty

Prize money now up to £67,500 so an increase of £40,500 from the last round plus a share of the gate money should boost the transfer kitty a fair bit.

It would be nice to do some early business for a change and get some of our plan A targets rather than the plan C of recent years. Last January being the exception of course but I think we got lucky there.

Pretty sure the prize money is cumulative so this is another £67,500 in the kitty on top of previous rounds

"How much does the FA Cup winner get?

The prize for winning the FA Cup final itself is £1,800,000, but the total cumulative reward depends on how many rounds a team progresses through.
For example, Premier League and Championship clubs enter at the third round so they will have to win six matches to emerge with the trophy. In the case of a winner from one of these two divisions, they will pocket a total of £3,397,500.
A team that entered the FA Cup from the extra preliminary round would have to win 14 games in order to lift the trophy and, as a result, they would pocket slightly more money as well - £3,473,425, to be exact, or £75,925 more."

The day that a team from the extra preliminary round won the FA Cup would simultaneously be the most magical of all cupsets, and a sign that everyone else had well and truly given up.

Glad they've covered that eventuality just in case!

We are doing pretty well out of it this year, especially when the TV money and ticket share money is added on.

    £112,000 win money so far.

    £72,000 TV money

Gate receipts from 3 matches. £££?

William Hill sponsorship for 3 games £££?

Wow! I didn't realise that. Other sports like tennis for example you get the prize for the round you reach.

If that is the case then we have £112,500 in prize money (so far) plus the £72,000 TV money along with a share of gate receipts, which are all extra matches without season tickets.

No wonder Alan Hardy is happy.

Half of 7000 x £10, less expenses, is better than half of bugger all.

Get a live game in round four = £144,000

    Win is £90,000.

    + half gate money

    + William Hill money.

They banked £67,500 for the win at Griffin Park, but the reward would be much more if they draw a plum tie with the potential for TV coverage too.

Has Mr Hardy confirmed the FA Cup prize money will used to strengthen the team?
