I have to say that I rate Jason Kerr very highly and when he does break into the St Johnstone team , Im sure will stay there. I think Kane is decent but certainly not SPL quality with the Championship his level.
Pro's to the receiving team are that quite often you get a better class of player than you have on your books. Cons are that you can become too heavily reliant on players that are not your own . I can't imagine our defence at the moment without Kerr anchoring it . Pro's to the lending team are that players you send out on loan are kept match fit and sharp in a demanding league like the Championship. Far better for these boys than playing reserve football. Cons to lending team could be that those recalled boys could become very frustrated and rather be back out on loan IF they come back to the parent clubs and can't break into the first team. This could be the scenario with the two Saints lads . As in everything, time will tell. Thoughts ?

I was having a similar internal dialogue today while watching Kerr and Kane. I really hope they don’t end up as squad players for the rest of the season, watching from the bench when they could be getting game time for us.
Both players are better off at Palmerston for the rest of the season , here’s hoping at least one stays .....
They both said on Tuesday that they were heading back to Perth after the Inverness game but you just never know.
I’ve always wondered who pays the players wages when they go out on loan ?
It's like everything else, payments are part of the negotiation of the loan deal. Could be anything from paying all the wages or paying none or anything in between.
