Bradshaw will thrive off his knock ons thats if they dont sell him
6ft 6’ striker becomes first January signing!
Barnsley Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of 25-year-old Kieffer Moore on a three-and-a-half year contract for an undisclosed fee from Ipswich Town. The prolific striker joins the Club having scored 13 goals with five assists in the 2017/18 campaign whilst on-loan with South Yorkshire rivals, Rotherham United.
Interest was exceedingly high in the forward, but the Reds have moved quickly and agreed terms with Moore which will see him become a Reds player until 2021.
Beginning his career in non-league with Truro City, Moore has seen his goalscoring record elevate him up the divisions and attract the attention of many scouts, both in England and on the continent.
The powerful and energetic frontman can boast a range of skills to his game, as he uses his lofty height to his advantage, winning multiple headers and finding the back of the net from crosses into the box. His ability to score different types of goals, whether that be from inside or outside the box, has shown he is more than a match for any defence.
Offering a different type of option to Paul Heckingbottom’s front line, Moore has notched up 21 Sky Bet Football League goals - 13 of which came this season - with a further 32 National League goals to his tally including a loan spell with Torquay United during the 2016/17 campaign where he netted five in just four games.
Like many of his new teammates, Moore has gained international recognition after being called up to the England C side in 2016 and representing his country.
Following the first addition to his side in the January transfer window, a delighted Paul Heckingbottom spoke to barnsleyfc.co.uk:
He said: “Kieffer is an excellent addition to the side and we’re really pleased to bring him here. It’s a deal that the Club has worked hard on and got done quickly, so I’m delighted with that. He’s a player in top form and will bring something different to improve the side. We were after a player of his qualities, who can offer something different and improve the starting eleven. His height will trouble defenders and cause problems, but as a player he’s got much more in his locker and will score different types of goals. Kieffer has already been in the local area and knows South Yorkshire now, so I expect him to settle quickly and work hard to get into our team.”

Twitter is saying that we may have struck a deal with Ipswich for Moore meaning Bradshaw will be moving to Suffolk soon?
I never get excited when we get a corner or a free kick into the box, big strapping lad up front may be just the type of player we need, scores a few goals too.
Good signing for me. Won't be on 10k a week though, he's still developing and this league is a step up for him.
lets see,
Welcome abooard Keifer Moore. Dunt no wot type o footballer thy are but if tha can owd ball up n win sum eearders laikin up front then thall du fo me
He needs to be laikin straight away for me. None of this up to speed bo llocks. Him n' Bradshaw or Thiam. We need Mallan in for Potts and another decent box to box midfielder.
I’ve heard he’s a 6ft 6ins striker that can’t head a ball? Not too bad with his feet and his hold up play is quite good!
Fk me from 6' 5" he's grown an inch since he signed
Rotherham fan here. He is good with his head. Will he make the step up against better defenders - that's the only question - a gamble as always. Good attitude and just needs the home crowd to get behind him. Bit gutted he hasn't stuck with us.
Good luck to kieffer and good luck to Barnsley - another 13 goals second half would see you finish in top half all being well - ready to kick on next season - here's to another 'season to remember'.
P.s. enjoyed our pre- season 'friendly' this year - well I can't be all lovey dovey can I.
