The trick for you signing Moore was to have found him whilst he was at Forest Green , Ipswich paid £20k for him and a minimal wage most likely .

As soon as he started scoring regularly for yourselves on loan then his valuation was only going to go up and up .

That is so true Animal.The trouble is we have no one at our club who is capable of doing that. maybe we should not bother signing anyone this transfer window but instead spend all our resources getting the ipswich guy who unearthed him.

I remember reading Fergie's autobiography , the first thing he did at United in 1986 was to double the scouting network , he couldn't believe how short they were in that area .

This at the biggest club in England who could buy almost anybody .

It's ***** for club's like ourselves who don't have the budget or the brand to put the resources available in to scouting the lower end of the football pyramid .

Got to agree with this how many times do we get loans in train them up and someone else nab them.

Personally I’d love to meet the guy making these contracts up and slap him with one of frogs cold wet fishes.

Most clubs won't stick right to buy clauses on there players for this reason, if the player does well the bidding war will earn them more cash. Right to buy on contracts will mainly go on players who are not wanted and getting to a age where there stock is not that high, or to a club willing to pay a large valuation. We have to get used to the fact that if a player does well for us on loan we most likely won't sign them, and just enjoy there time here. We are no different to 90% of the lower league clubs. No they don't. Those clauses are decided by the selling club, not the buying club. We can't dictate what another club does with their player, that is up to them. If we started making demands like that they'd probably tell us to p*ss off.

Actually your wrong there are clubs who stick right to buy on players who will be out of contract the next year. Derby county for exsample did it with tom ince so did Smaller clubs however they were buying from league below them or same league.

The downside to it is the money is a fixed sum of money that is decided no by the buying club but by the selling club.

Say we did it for Moore and Ipswich said yeah ok that’s fine but if you want him it will cost you 500k
If Rotherham agree they can’t get him any cheaper.
However they have to give them a month notice.

They do it because it’s garenteed income for the next transfer window. PSG did it with that young French player they loaned him with a right to buy attached.

When buying off higher up bigger clubs then in a nut shell Yes!!, we don't have the clout or money to demand clauses on players from the likes of Brighton.

You’ve totally ignore my point so you can have a rant about our current position in the table and spending big money....neither of which relate to anything I posted. He’s not out of contract in the summer....hence why we are simply wasting our time. Short term mentality, lacking ambition.....but it clearly enough to keep the plankton happy.
