One thing you seem to miss is that by volume there are many times more incompetent builders, crooked baristas and and self-righteous public workers than the equivalent bankers, accountants and politicians - yes on an individual basis the numbers might be different, but the intent (or lack of) seems to be the same in my eyes

What the hell do ‘crooked baristas’ do...skimp on the latte?
There is, of course, ineptitude and dishonesty in all walks of life but few have done more serious damage to quite so many as those responsible for the financial crisis. Don’t really think you can blame builders, teachers or nurses for that one.
