    Go Metric.

As goalies have got bigger so should the goals. How many more goals would there be if the goals were 8 metres x 3 metres, Still not enough for our lot to be prolific.

Reminds me of a bit from Red Dwarf book. Way into the future countries had genetically manufactured sportsmen to fit the game. USA had 10ft tall basketball players and Russia had swimmers with webbed feet.

Scotland had developed a goalkeeper who has 8 yards wide by 8 feet high. However by 2254 they had still failed to qualify for a World Cup.

It wouldn't make a difference one dot about changing the rules or making goals bigger or anything because our forward line is not good enough the same problems would still be their .

    Simple solutions.

    1 point for a draw

2 points for a home win

3 points for an away win

Goals scored home and away to count towards an aggregate score against every league oposition.

An extra point awarded to the aggregate winner.

Say you win 3-0 at home and were losing 3-0 away to the same team....both sides would still be going for it "hammer and tongs" right up to the last second for the bonus point.

I know the thread of this is about how to make it more attacking, but I actually do enjoy watching good defending. I recognise I'm probably the only one who thinks like this!

I did admire Pulis for his defensive qualities and how difficult we were to score against. But what you need is a good balance between attack and defence.

I love winning a game 1-0, or going to a top 6 club and defending well and coming away with a 0-0. Clean sheets are an important part of football.

I don't really want to see premiership results like 6-4 every week. Reminds me of the MLS!
