TC needs to be held to account. Players are a reflection of those who manage them.

My observations of the day - Our support, bloody magnificent !

By car, train and coach we came to support the team ........ not moan.

25 coaches given a Police motorcycle escort too - WNFA ?

My observations of the game - our starting eleven lacking height.

From the off played it out from back and midfield use of ball was positive.

Decent shots in target area,Felix never troubled & then the red ........

..... from my perch in Main stand box - contact/conduct raising hand,Mmm.

    Second half

Damage done on/off the pitch,10 men and tactical switch...........

........ smoke bombs & objects inc coins thrown etc - not good.

Meanwhile on the pitch still held it all together considering .........

Sacko snatched at couple of chances and then they take theirs.

Celina's a handful and his strike was decent ,so fair do's.

.....could often hear Pablo shouting and encouraging Sacko to take the ball to Ipswich regardless which suggests confidence issue with the kid.........

But we still created a chance late on for Lasogga and .........

So - another lost game, lots of IF's and maybe's to contemplate but I'm not hanging around to be personally roughed up on 'ere as we all know what's required and Ipswich had made 4/5 changes to their team so ................ nuff said.

Ipswich played deep allowing us at 'em but contained any forward central threat.

Pleased for my mate Terry Connor but 'IF' only ......... and maybe's again, sadly.

If, only, maybe, sums it up nicely. Not nicely enough for promotion this year though.

Seen the O'Kane sending off and it was a red no doubt at all even if their player went down like he had been shot!

Bad bad day at the office yesterday..there was 3 points for the taking..even when down to 10 men we had a p1ss easy chance to equalise but Cooper did what Cooper does and farked it up!

    Whats that saying now?

Oh yes..it could get worse before it gets better

I have similar observations from being at the game and agree with much of the above - sitting underneath the Leeds fans was amazing up until the sending off, and the town was full of Leeds - they gave us their season ticket stand because there were so many of us and they are desperate for money (steward's own comment) and the best chant of the day was definitely "we're Leeds, and we took your seats" - all the Ipswich fans around me couldn't believe the passion and noise and even they were laughing at that one. BUT - we were very near the woman that got hit with the flare and the firework let off - really stupid and dangerous, and potentially the club could be in a lot of trouble. A lot of stuff rained down on us, and whilst i understood the frustration, there were hundreds of men, women and kids in that area that were really scared of something being chucked down that would hurt people. Hopefully the woman who was hit was ok - unfortunately all the admiration for the travelling fans evaporated in the instant when the stuff starting to come down, even from the Leeds fans around us, it has to be said - and there were a lot of them too, wary of avoiding what was coming down from above us.

I thought the referee had a poor game - whilst the sending off appeared harsh, there was contact, and from my position O Kane was stupid in even bothering with the whole situation - it was just totally unnecessary - we were on top, looking like scoring, and they had shown nothing, and the situation was totally innocuous and normal. It changed the game, and actually i would say cost us the game. But there were a number of times beyond that one where the referee made decisions (both ways) that were questionable. Pontus was well fed up by the end, and Pablo was furious with the ref at half-time as he left the pitch.

Wiedwald did one of his usual 'pat the ball out straight to the opposition attacker's feet' moves from which they should have scored and they had the one great shot that won the match - that was the difference, but we were by far the better side, even with 10 men. Roofe missed 3 good chances, and Cibicki's felt like a sitter from where i was - right behind him, and Cooper's was even more straightforward.

Pablo was outstanding, and dominated, and was hungry - his leadership was outstanding- i too could see and hear his urging and his nurturing - if only we could support him with some better players around him, he could be our 21st century Strachan. In my view he would be a better captain than Cooper and it might encourage him to really take on the leadership role more obviously, as he seems to thrive on it like yesterday.

Phillips did a good job and worked hard yesterday. Through the team there was a lot of passion and drive and i think that was also summed up with the gestures and interaction with the crowd at the end by the players and TC - but i think the coach needs to learn a lot quicker than he is doing in this league, and made a decision in putting Sacko on instead of Dallas that was baffling and, i think, ultimately very costly. However, his decision to bring on Lasogga and sacrifice a defender in the last 20 actually took the game to Ipswich after they had started to kill it and we deserved at least a point out of a game where quite a lot went against us in a way that was beyond our control.

What's certain though is that the players need to control themselves better on the pitch - and partly that is down to the management - in addition to O Kane's stupidity, whether he head-butted, elbowed, or what, Pontus could have easily been sent off yesterday for his repeated remonstrating with the referee, even though he had a point about the ref's performance.

I came away feeling really frustrated that we hadn't got something, and that we'd shot ourselves in the foot again. I do think we need another striker, and at least one seasoned championship midfielder - and for TC to have better advice at times. But overall, i was proud of the team for trying to make up for O Kane's mistake, and for giving it a h ell of a go which nearly ended with us getting something like what we deserved.

Good summing up Jez, thanks, i always like to read from those that were there. I agree that whenever i get to see the team live, you can really see Hernandezīs worth. The best player in our squad by a country mile.
